Jakarta, ONENEWS.MY.ID —
Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri said that the change in the status of an anti-rape agency employee to a State Civil Apparatus (ASN) like a “special supplement” that triggers work.
“This status is like a special supplement given by the state to us to accelerate the performance and all the power and efforts of the KPK as the spearhead of eradicating corruption in the motherland,” he said in a written statement, Friday (31/12).
He claimed that the KPK succeeded in responding to public pessimism because of the change in employee status with performance achievements in the fields of education, prevention and prosecution.
It is known that the change in status to ASN, which is a direct impact of the revision of the KPK Law, through the National Insight Test (TWK) assessment method, which resulted in dozens of KPK employees being fired, caused a polemic.
Moreover, TWK’s assessment was declared to be maladministration and violated human rights based on the findings of the Ombudsman and Komnas HAM.
“We have answered the pessimism of a few people towards this status transfer with tangible results from the high performance of all KPK personnel,” he added.
Firli said that in 2021 the KPK carried out 127 investigations and 105 investigations by ensnaring 123 suspects. From this data, 108 cases have entered the prosecution stage. As many as 90 of them have obtained permanent legal force or inkrah.
Then, continued Firli, the asset recovery as of December 20, 2021 by the KPK amounted to IDR 374 billion and the rescue of potential state losses reached IDR 35.9 trillion.
Meanwhile, Firli continued, the implementation of anti-corruption education has been carried out in 353 Regional Regulations and Provincial, Regency and City Regulations for elementary, junior high, high school/vocational education levels. As for the data on Anti-Corruption Extension, there are 2,014 people with 228 Integrity Builders as of December 2, 2021.
“We emphasize that the revision of the KPK Law actually makes us stronger because we can work in a good government system in building an orchestra to eradicate corruption,” he argued.
Meanwhile, the General Chairman of the Indonesian Civil Service Corps (KORPRI) Zudan Arif Fakrulloh inaugurated the 17-person KORPRI KPK Management Board.
“KORPRI KORPRI can contribute to efforts to eradicate corruption in line with the spirit of KORPRI as stated in the Panca Prasetya KORPRI, especially at point 5, namely upholding honesty, justice, and discipline as well as improving welfare and professionalism,” said Zudan, Friday (12/31). ).
The establishment of the KPK KORPRI is a follow-up to Law Number 19 of 2019 concerning the second amendment to Law Number 30 of 2002 concerning the KPK. In the law, KPK employees turn into ASN.
On the other hand, Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) provided a red report card on the performance of the 18-year-old KPK.
“If A is perfect then we give E to the KPK or it doesn’t pass,” said ICW researcher Kurnia Ramadhana, Thursday (30/12).
“The prosecution cannot rule out the work of the other KPK, but the fact is that the other works cannot be proud of either,” he added.
The red report card with an E score is given for indicators of improving Hand Capture Operations (OTT), maintaining employee integrity, complying with the code of ethics, showing political gimmicks, and catching fugitives who have been running for years.
