ONENEWS.MY.ID, Jakarta – The second match of the 2020 AFF Cup final between Thailand vs Indonesia ended with a score of 2-2. Had excelled in the first half through Ricky Kambuaya’s goal, the Indonesian national team conceded two goals in the second half and finally Egy Maulana Vikri equalized.

The Indonesian national team coach, Shin Tae-yong, received bad news for not being able to play Elkan Baggott, Rizky Ridho, Rizky Dwi Febrianto, and Victor Igbonefo in this second match. They were banned from appearing in this match because they were deemed to have violated the rules of the bubble system from the Singapore government.

PSSI received the notification of the ban last Friday. The violation was committed on December 23, 2021 and PSSI has paid a fine to the AFF. In addition, all four have played in the first game last Wednesday.

The good news is that Primary left back Arhan can return to play. In the first game Arhan was absent due to card accumulation. Tae-yong immediately installed the PSIS Semarang club player from the start.

Egy Maulana Vikri also played from the start. Together with Ramai Rumakiek, Witan Sulaeman and Dedik Setiawan, Egy became the focus of the front line. This is the first time Egy has appeared since the beginning of the 2020 AFF Cup.

In the Thai national team, coach Alexandre Polking made a number of player rotations at the back. Elias Dolah, who suffered an injury in the first match, was left out, as well as Manuel Bihr who had already missed the first match.

Chanathip Songkrasin, Supachok Sarachat, and Teerasil Dangda are again the mainstays on the front lines. The three of them became the front-line motors that bombarded Indonesia’s defense in the first match last.

The following is the line-up for the second final match of the AFF Cup 2020 between Thailand vs Indonesia:

Thailand (4-2-3-1): Siwarak Tedsungnoen; Theerathon Bunmathan, Narubadin Weerawatnodom, Kritsada Kaman, Pawee Tanthatemee; Sarach Yooyen, Thanawat Suengchitthawon; Bordin Phala, Chanathip Songkrasin, Supacok Sarachat; Teerasil Dangda.

Indonesia (4-3-3): Nadeo Argawinata; Asnawi Mangkualam, Fachrudin Aryanto, Alfeandra Dewangga, Pratama Arhan; Rachmat Irianto, Ricky Kambuaya, Ramai Rumakiek; Egy Maulana Vikri, Dedik Setiawan, Witan Sulaeman.

The burden of having to score four goals to equalize made the Indonesian national team appear aggressive from the start of the first half. Ricky Kambuaya also made it 1-0 after his long-range shot failed to be caught perfectly by goalkeeper Siwarak Tedsungnoen.

Ricky’s kick actually went straight into Tedungnoen’s arms, but he failed to catch the ball until it went into his own net.

Left behind 0-1, Thailand immediately turned to attack. Teerasil Dangda got the first chance to score. Luckily, Dangda’s shot was saved by goalkeeper Nadeo Argawinata.

In the 12th minute, Supachok Saratchan managed to get a chance after a corner turned into chaos in the Indonesian penalty box. Luckily, the player’s kick with number 7 only hit the crossbar.

Nadeo made another save in the 20th minute. He parried a long-range shot released by midfielder Thanawat Suengchitthawon.

The fast game shown by the Indonesian national team forced Thailand to survive more. Forward Bordin Phala who helped the defense even had to get a yellow card after breaking Ricky Kambuaya in front of the penalty box in the 33rd minute.

Alfeandra Dewangga’s free kick execution still hit the Thai posse so that it only became a corner kick.

In added time, Teerasil Dangda had a chance after receiving a cross from Narubadin Weerawatnodom. But Dangda’s kick was still far from Nadeo’s goal. The 0-1 score closed the first half of the second final of the 2020 AFF Cup between Thailand vs Indonesia.
