Jakarta, ONENEWS.MY.ID – The Covid-19 Handling Task Force issued Decree of the Head of Task Force Number 1 of 2022 concerning Entry Points, Quarantine Places and RT-PCR Obligations for Indonesian citizens or foreign travelers.
The regulation, which was signed by the Head of the National Countermeasures Agency, Suharyanto, as the Head of the Covid-19 Handling Task Force, decides and establishes an entry point to the territory of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia for Indonesian citizens (WNI) who travel abroad via:
First, Airports: Soekarno Hatta, Banten; Juanda, East Java; and Sam Ratulangi, North Sulawesi. Second, via Sea Port: in Batam, Riau Islands. Tanjung Pinang, Riau Islands. And, Nunukan, North Kalimantan. Third, Cross-Border Post: Like Aruk, West Kalimantan. Entikong, West Kalimantan and Motaain, East Nusa Tenggara.
Indonesian Citizens Traveling Overseas, according to the regulation, are required to quarantine with the following conditions:
First, Quarantine with a period of 14 x 24 hours from the country/region of origin of arrival with the following criteria: a. Has confirmed community transmission of a new variant of SARS-CoV-2 B.1.1.529; b. Geographically adjacent to the country of community transmission of cases of the new variant of SARS-CoV-2 B.1.1.529; and c. The number of confirmed cases of SARS-CoV-2 B.1.1.529 is more than 10,000 cases.
“Second, Quarantine with a period of 10 x 24 hours from the country/region of origin of arrival other than countries that meet the criteria as referred to in the second dictum number 1,” explained the rules received by ONENEWS.MY.ID, Sunday (2/1/2022).
As for the centralized quarantine place for Indonesian citizens traveling abroad, it is stated: intended for Indonesian Citizens of Foreign Travel as follows:
a. Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) who return to Indonesia to stay at least 14 (fourteen) days in Indonesia;
b. Students/Students who return to Indonesia after completing education or carrying out study assignments abroad;
c. Government employees who return to Indonesia after carrying out official trips abroad; and
d. Indonesian representatives in international competitions or festivals.
“In the event that the Government Employee as referred to in the SIXTH dictum is not willing to quarantine at a location that has been determined by the National/Regional Covid-19 Handling Task Force, quarantine must be carried out at a centralized Quarantine Hotel that has been determined by the National/Regional Covid-19 Handling Task Force with independent fees or other legitimate sources of financing,” the letter said.
