“Desire to return to play with Inter Milan”
ONENEWS.MY.ID – In the last few days, Romelu Lukaku’s name has been widely discussed in cyberspace after his controversial interview which aired last week.
In a chat with Sky Italia, Lukaku revealed that he is “not happy with the situation” at Chelsea, claiming a return to Stamford Bridge is only his fourth option and regularly mentioning his desire to return to Inter Milan.
As a result, of course Thomas Tuchel as coach of the Blues was not happy with these comments and immediately crossed out Lukaku’s name from the Chelsea squad when welcoming Liverpool’s children to London.
And observant fans pay attention to interesting details on Lukaku’s official Facebook page which a few days ago underwent a change.
While the Belgian’s header and cover photo feature him in Chelsea colours, his bio simply reads, “Inter Milan”.

This season has certainly not been the best of Lukaku’s performances given his explosive and open interview, in which he said, “I really, from the bottom of my heart hope to return to Inter, not at the end of my career, but while I’m still at it. levels to win more trophies”.
The former Everton and Manchester United player returned to West London for a club record fee of £97.5 million after guiding Inter Milan to their first Scudetto in 11 years.
The season hasn’t gone as planned. Lukaku has scored just one goal in 13 Premier League games and has an ankle problem and is sidelined due to Covid-19.
According to The Telegraph, Tuchel will hold “showdown talks” with Lukaku on Monday (03/01/2022).
Tuchel himself said he had had two conversations with the Belgian so far and could not guarantee Lukaku a return to the first team.
“He is our player, he will remain our player, we will always protect our players,” Tuchel said as reported by The Guardian.
“First we need to evaluate the situation, not listen to the media or pressure, understand what he said and why he said it.”
“Then we will take a decision whether he is good to go on Wednesday. I can’t tell you right now because we need to talk and understand the situation further and move on. Once the situation is clear, he will remain our player and protect our players.”
