Gaga Muhammad Sueded 4.5 Years in Prison, Prosecutor: The Defendant Behaves Politely

Gaga Muhammad dituntut 4 tahun 6 bulan penjara dan denda 10 juta rupiah

ONENEWS.MY.ID – Gaga Muhammad was sentenced to 4 years and 6 months in prison and a fine of 10 million rupiah for a traffic accident that caused the paralysis of the celebrity Laura Anna.

The trial for reading the demands was held at the East Jakarta District Court, Tuesday (4/1).

“The defendant Gaung Sabda Alam Muhammad was sentenced to imprisonment for four years and six months and a fine of Rp. 10 million, subsidiary to 2 months in prison,” he added.

On that occasion the public prosecutor conveyed several considerations on the charges that were handed down.

There are several things that prosecutors consider sufficient to alleviate Gaga’s demands. Among them Gaga is considered polite during the trial process. He is also considered to have regretted his actions.

“The mitigating things, you were polite during the trial, you realized your mistake and regretted your actions, the defendant is still young, which is expected to improve his behavior in the future,” said the prosecutor.

Regarding the demands read by the public prosecutor, Gaga Muhammad’s party will file a memorandum of defense.

“Please give us one week to make a defense and talk to the accused as well,” Fahmi Bachmid told the panel of judges.

As previously reported, Gaga Muhammad was charged with Article 310 Paragraph 3 of Law No. 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation.

Gaga’s negligence resulted in Laura Anna being seriously injured and leading to paralysis. Laura then died on December 15, 2021, after experiencing stomach problems.
