ONENEWS.MY.ID, Jakarta The race for the 2022 MotoGP world title is predicted to be tight. Last season’s top two drivers, Fabio Quartararo and Francesco Bagnaia, are likely to return to being the main figures in the title race this season.

However, the presence of Marc Marquez who is slowly returning to his best form cannot be ignored. The racer nicknamed The Baby Alien is expected to threaten immediately since the first series. Apart from them, other racers also have the potential to make a surprise because of the ability of motorbikes that have almost equal performance.

Former MotoGP racer, Jorge Lorenzo, also gave his predictions about competition in the premier class motorcycle racing in 2022. “Fabio and Pecco (Bagnaia’s greeting) will be the favorites to win,” said Lorenzo quoted from Motorsport.

“Even though Fabio is the reigning champion, Pecco has a bigger chance this year. He is a Ducati rider which for me is the best bike at the moment,” said the Spaniard, who won the 2015 world champion.

Lorenzo also commented on Marquez’s performance. He assessed that his former teammate at Repsol Honda in the 2019 MotoGP would shine at Ducati. Seeing the condition of Marquez who is now recovering from a serious injury, Lorenzo hopes that his compatriot will race more carefully.

“I think with what Ducati is showing at the moment, they could have won another title with Marc or Casey Stoner. If there’s a type of character where fear is greater, it’s Marc. He’s still a human being and nobody likes to hurt him. alone.”

“In certain circumstances you have to be more careful than before but for sure it will affect you more than any other rider. For the good of MotoGP, let’s hope that physically Marc will return to his old self. I have no doubts that he will win the world championship. again,” said Jorge Lorenzo.
