“Luck for Isco”

ONENEWS.MY.ID – Real Madrid and Barcelona started their Copa del Rey campaigns with incredible, hard-fought wins over lesser teams on Thursday (06/01/20222) CET.

But a funny moment occurred in Los Blancos’ victory match during a visit to Campo Municipal El Collao.

Madrid needed two goals in stoppage time to beat Alcoyano 3-1, who one year earlier had knocked out Los Blancos in the same round of 32. Brazil defender Eder Militao put Madrid ahead in front of 4,800 fans. But the hosts created scoring chances throughout the game and equalized in the 66th minute when Dani Vega managed to beat Casemiro and Militao before scoring.

Marco Asensio put Madrid back in front in the 76th minute when his shot hit a defender, leaving goalkeeper Alcoyano no chance to save. When Madrid’s substitute Isco Alarcón came on for the win two minutes later.

The process of the goal from the former Malaga player is quite funny.

Starting from Marcelo’s movement and cross on the left of Alcoyano, Vicente Parras’s team, who was not calm in blocking the ball, actually gave Isco a pass by accident and the ball that bounced up was then chased by the Spaniard.

Instead of goalkeeper Jose Juan getting the ball, he collided with Isco before the goal was accidentally scored. The goal was his second goal of the season for Los Blancos, although Ancelotti had doubts at the start of the season.
