Walt Disney Studios has released the latest official trailer for the animated film to be screened by Disney+ entitled The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild. The film, which is a continuation of the Ice Age film franchise, will be available for streaming on January 28.
The new animated film comes after a gap of six years, and this time it will follow Buck (voiced by Simon Pegg), a ferret introduced in Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. Buck will team up with other fan-favorite characters after they cause havoc on prehistoric Earth.
The new trailer reveals that Buck will be the new “lead” who isn’t afraid to jump into death-defying adventures – and of course that means he’s putting himself in danger and eventually needs to be saved by Manfred/Manny (Ray Romano), Ellie (Queen Latifah). ), Sid (John Leguizamo), and Diego (Denis Leary). The trailer also reveals the return of Crash and Eddie to team up with Buck to learn how to live an adventurous life.
The voice actors in the animated film also feature Utkarsh Ambudkar (Free Guy), Justina Machado (One Day at a Time), Vincent Tong (animated series Ninjago) and Aaron Harris. Tong and Harris are the new voices of possum Crash and Eddie, replacing Sean William Scott and Josh Peck, who voiced the duo in the last four Ice Age films. This new animated prehistoric adventure film is directed by John C. Donkin from a screenplay written by Jim Hecht (Ice Age: The Meltdown), Ray DeLaurentis (Fairly Odd Parents), and Will Schifrin (Bunsen is a Beast).
The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild continue the hilarious adventures of the prehistoric heroes as they create more chaos. Eager for a little independence, two thrill-seeking possum brothers Crash and Eddie set out to find their own “place” but then find themselves trapped under the ice in a huge cave inhabited by dinosaurs. They are rescued by the adventure-loving one-eyed weasel, Buck Wild, and together, with the help of some new friends, they embark on a mission to save the Lost World from the domination of the dinosaurs.
